Added Important Information
Stamp duty - NAD5.00 charged per rental which is incorportaed into a Environmental Contract Fee (VRF) of NAD210.00 is applicable to all rentals. 12% location surcharge applicable at Windhoek airport, Walvis Bay airport, Ondangwa and Luderitz. 5% location surcharge applicable at Swakopmund. Location surcharge is taxable.
Additional Driver Information
Additional driver's cost is NAD510.00 (incl vat) per additional driver and per rental.
Age Requirements
The minimum age is 18 years with a valid and unendorsed driver's licence. Licence must have been held for a minimum of one year.

Payment Options
Full credit and fixed value vouchers, Avis honoured credit/charge cards - Avis, American Express, Visa and Mastercard. WEB/GEB rentals are accepted as a method of payment.
Debit cards, Diners credit cards and cash are not accepted.
Collecting and Returning Your Vehicle
Should the rental vehicle not be returned by the agreed date and no prior arrangements have been made to extend the rental the vehicle will be collected by Avis and an Overdue Rental Administration Fee of NAD 990.00 (incl tax) will be charged.
After Hours Information
Available at all locations on request. An after hour check out fee of
NAD 624.00 (Incl vat) will apply.
Cancellations and No Show Charges
If you do not cancel your booking before the reservation date and time shown on your booking and fail to pick up your vehicle within 24 hours from that time, a non-cancellation fee will apply. For Namibian rentals a fee of NAD 520.00 will apply. For rentals occuring outside of Namibia , £60, 76 CHF or the equivalent amount in the local currency. This will be inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Taking Your Vehicle Outside the Country
No cross border rentals allowed in to Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Angola. Vehicles may not cross these borders even if returning to Namibia.
All cross border rentals are subject to a fee of NAD2426.00 (Incl vat).
In the event that a customer takes the vehicle across the border and returns it to Namibia then this fee will apply. However, if the customer takes the vehicle across the border and drops it off in a neighbouring country, therefore, incurring one way fees, the cross border fee is not charged. The does not apply to Zimbabwe as no one way rentals are permitted.
South Africa and Botswana
A letter of authority for cross border rentals must be requested and obtained by the customer at the time of collection of the vehicle. If this in not obtained, Avis cannot be held responsible if the customer is refused entry to the country. Every vehicle going into one of the above mentioned countries must have a "NAM" sticker at the back of the vehicle. The customer is required to verify this before leaving the Avis location.
Zimbabwe: at management discretion, on request. Prior application must be made 72 hours in advance and dates of entry/exit from Zimbabwe must be given. A letter of authority must be requested and obtained by the customer at the time of collecting the vehicle. The remarks field on the reservation must indicate "Zimbabwe rental". Additional charges for cross border insurance into Zimbabwe will apply. In addition to the CDW/TP included in the rates, a further vehicle insurance charge will apply for a min of 5 days. If vehicles are taken into Zimbabwe without prior notice, the renter will be liable for the full cost of any accident damage or theft and any third party or passenger liability claims. Rentals originating in Namibia and driven into South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe conditions of CDW/TP of the country entered will apply.
Delivery and Collection
Deliveries and collections during stations hours within a 25km radius of the rental stations on automatic confirmation will cost NAD264.00 (Incl vat)
For deliveries and collections further than 25km an additonal charge of NAD 17.00 per km (Incl vat) applies.
After hours and public holidays within 25 km radius:
Fee of NAD523.00 (Incl vat) applies.

One way fees within Namibia:
Windhoek to Ondangwa and vice versa NAD4389.00

One Way Cross Border Fees:

One way cross border rentals are not permitted to Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Angola and Zambia.
For rentals originating in Namibia and driven into South Africa and Botswana, the conditions of CDW and TLW of the country entered apply.
Waiver and Protection Options
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)
Purchase of standard CDW means that in the event of an accident, the renter is responsible for up to a specified amount. A higher liability applies on weekend rentals. CDW excludes undercarriage damage.
Super CDW
Purchase of Super CDW reduces the renters non-waivable liability amount. Super CDW is sold in addition to normal CDW. Cover not applicable on cash rentals.
A claim administration fee of NAD 880.00 per accident will be charged, over and above the damage repair cost of applicable excess.
TP (Theft Protection)
Purchase of standard TP means that should the vehicle be stolen, the renter is responsible for up to a specified amount. A higher liability applies on weekend rentals. Personal property not covered and not applicable on cash rentals.
Super TP
Purchase of Super TP reduces the renter's non-waivable liability amount. Super TP is sold in addition to standard TP. Cover not applicable to cash rentals.
NWE
If any waiver options are taken, a non-waivable excess is payable in all instances. Limitations of liability (LLI/PEP)
A top up waiver option is available a the counter, which includes tyre damage, rims, hubcaps, windscreen damage and sandblasting waiver on car groups A,B,C,D,E: NAD230.00 per day. Car groups: F - O NAD 250.00 per day.
The renter is still liable for the full damage to the vehicle is caused by negligence, unsuitable road conditions, areas disallowed by Avis unless written permission is obtained, an unauthorised drivers or where the renter is in breach of any of the provisions of the rental agreement.
The above charges are inclusive of vat.
Special Equipment
Automated confirmation with 24 hour advanced reservation.
NAD 650.00 (incl vat) per rental per seat.
Additional Spare Tyre
Automatic Confirmation with 72 hour advanced reservation.
NAD 200.00 (incl vat) per day. A deposit of NAD 3330.00 (incl vat) will be held on the customers credit card. There will be a delivery fee of NAD20.00 p/km for the delivery of replacement tyres.
GPS
Automated confirmation with 24 hour advanced reservation
NAD120.00 (incl tax) per day.
GPS is only available in Windhoek, Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.
For one way rentals with a counter product, a fee of NAD 500.00 (ncl tax) will apply.
Fuel charges
A NAD 40.00 Refuelling Service Fee will apply to rentals that require refuelling by Avis off site and NAD25.00 if the vehicle is refuelled on is site.
Fines
In the event of an accident, a claim administration fee of NAD 880.00 (incl vat) over and excess will be charged.
In the event that a customer receives a traffic fine, an administration fee of NAD 475.00 (incl vat) will be charged over and above the traffic fine. (This will be charged per fine.)

Car Availability
Follow availability on the reservation screen.
Call-out fees:
A call out fee of NAD 1100.00 (incl tax) as a result of customer negligence will be charged within a 50km radius all hours.
There will be a valet charge of NAD 1250.00 (incl tax) applicable per vehicle.
Roadside assistance is available at a charge of NAD 40.00 per day. This includes assistance to customers for change of tyres, keys locked in the vehicle, flat battery, no fuel and vehicle changeover due to non-mechanical failure. Charges for repairs or replacements will apply.
Key tag replacement fee of NAD80.00 applies should the key tags be lost or damaged.
